Loveland Ski Area near Georgetown Colorado is famous for ridiculously early openings...usually within the first two weeks of October. And how do they do it? Snowmaking. They use a combination of traditional air/water guns with Lenko fan guns to open a good sized run down the right side of their mountain.The countdown has begun again...they plan on starting their snowmaking efforts in just 22 days on September 24th! Snowmaking season is nearly upon us friends!
