About 12 years ago when I was just starting to really stack up the failures with my own try at home snowmaking, I found Polar Peak, a backyard ski hill that had been created by the Herishko brothers on their family farm.
Snowmaking was a dream, but only part of it. I always wanted to complete the full picture (snowmaking, rope tow, ski hill) and would visit Polar Peak's
website frequently to live the dream through them :)
Well, a few weeks ago on my way to visit my brother in Albany, NY, I took a detour down the Taconic State Parkway to finally see Polar Peak. Here are a few pictures :)
